Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Live Escape Room?
An escape room is a real-life escape game in which players are locked inside a themed room(s). Players must work as a team and use a series of puzzles, riddles and clues within a set time limit (60 minutes) to escape the room(s).
What is TimeQuest?
TimeQuest is a small group live escape room experience located on the outskirts of Paddock Wood, Tonbridge in Kent. We aim to improve on the general concept of escape rooms by offering our customers a completely immersive experience. All of our missions are set within carefully selected periods in time, where you are then required to access the time portal, solve your mission objective and return to the present.
Who Can Play?
That is the fun of escape room games, any one can play…if they are up to the challenge!
Are there any age restrictions?
The simple answer is yes! All children between the ages of 14-16 years old require an adult to remain on site throughout their mission. We are more than happy for children of all ages to play as part of an adult group but if the group is predominately children (under 14) then please drop us an email (email@example.com) outlining the requirements of your group.
What is the Minimum/Maximum Team Size?
All of our rooms have been designed and priced for teams of between three and six players. However. At the moment we do not have a set price for teams of two but should you like to take up the challenge, we kindly ask that you book onto a game for 3 people
How Long Does the Mission Last?
The whole experience lasts 90 minutes. We encourage you to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your booking for a short briefing. You will then spend a maximum of 60 minutes in the room. After escaping, if you manage to, we would love to hear about your experience and take your photo. You will also be presented with a souvenir to remember your time and experience.
Will We Be On a Mission with Others?
No, this is your mission only.
What Should We Wear on the Day?
Anything that is casual and comfortable, although we are not against some fancy dress.
What Happens if We Damage Something in the Room?
We have designed the puzzles to be robust so we hope that there is a low risk of damaging them. Although, if you deliberately damage something within the game then you maybe liable for the cost of damages.

Accessibility & Special Requirements
While we have endeavoured to ensure all of our internal spaces are accessible to all styles of players, at the present time we are unable to accommodate individuals with mobility problems. At the moment we are currently located on the second floor of a listed Oast house and only accessible by stairs. However, we do have plans to install a lift in the near future to ensure our games are accessible to all. Obviously if you are unsure if our games can accommodate your requirements then please let us know upon booking and we will do our best to accommodate these to make your experience as enjoyable as possible.
I am Pregnant, Can I Play?
Definitely! Although the mission is designed to be challenging there are no physical challengers or fearful situations. We have also made sure there is somewhere to sit, so you can rest while still being part of the game. You can also leave at any time during the game to use the facilities if necessary, although the clock will still continue to tick while your teammates aim to complete the mission.
I am Claustrophobic, Can I Play?
Although we have tried to keep our rooms spacious, we are aware that personal experiences vary depending on the degree of claustrophobia. Therefore, to try and make the experience as fun and comfortable as possible missions can be left at any time, although the clock will still be ticking for your remaining team members.
