Bookings

How do I make a booking?

Escape game and board game sessions can be booked online or by contacting us here. Our online booking website offers the most up to date availability on all our activities.

How much are tickets?

Tickets prices vary depending on the activity. Escape game tickets cost between £55 and £90, depending on the number of players within your group. Whereas tickets for the board game space cost £4 per person, per time slot.

Can I make a group booking?

Yes, we can accommodate a wide range of group sizes. For groups over 12+ players, please enquire for more information and to access our special group rates.

Can I purchase a gift voucher?

Yes, we do offer gift vouchers. Gift vouchers can be booked online and can be delivered as an e-certificate or we can post you out a physical voucher. All gift vouchers are valid for three years from the date of purchase.

Do you offer refunds?

Once your booking is confirmed we cannot accept any cancellations or offer any refunds. However, if you find out that you are unable to attend your slot at least two days before your booking then please give us a call and we will do our best to reschedule your booking for a more convenient time.

Can I change my booking?

Yes, booking can be amended up to 2 days before the scheduled booking. If you need to change the date after this time period then please get in contact and we will see what we can do.

Your Visit

What is TimeQuest?

TimeQuest is an award winning, family run, gaming space. We love all things puzzles, escape games, tabletop games & much more. Tucked away in our iconic oast building we boast 6 dedicated escape games, an extensive board game library and rentable tabletop playing space. If you like playing games then we've got you covered.

When are you open?

We are open from 10am to 10pm Monday to Sunday.

Do you have parking on-site?

Yes, we have plenty of parking onsite, although we cannot be held responsible for any damage to your vehicle while it is parked onsite.

When should we arrive?

We encourage you to arrive 15 minutes before your booked session. If you are running late then please do give us a call and we will do our best to help, if possible.

What should we wear on the day?

Anything that is casual and comfortable. Although we are not against some fancy dress.

How long does a board game session last?

That depends entirely on you. Slots are typically 3 hours but you can as much or as little of that slot as you like. These slots can also be extended if we have availability.

Will other people be playing with us?

No, your escape game slot or gaming table is for your party alone.

What happens if we damage something during our visit?

We have given considerate thought to ensure the venue and it's activities are robust, so we that there is a low risk of damaging them. However, if you deliberately damage something within the game then you maybe liable for the cost of damages.

Is there any food and drink available to purchase?

Unfortunately we are not able to offer any hot food or drink but we do have a small selection of soft drinks, crisps and sweets available. Our current snack menu can be found here.

Where is TimeQuest HQ located?

Located in a Grade 2 listed building, complete with turrets at The Hop Farm. TimeQuest can be found on the A228, near Paddock Wood, Kent. Easily accessible by car, bus, train and taxi. Plus we have plenty of free parking. Our address is Bell 4, The Hop Farm, Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood, Kent, TN12 6PY.

How can I get to TimeQuest HQ?

By car: You can find our TimeQuest HQ on the A228 near Paddock Wood, Kent. It is easily accessible from both the M20 and M25/M26. Along the route, there are also a number of brown tourist signs as you get close to the site.

If traveling via the M20: Exit off the M25 at junction 4 and use the left lane to merge onto A228. Once on the A228, follow the road for 9.4mi. As you approach, you will spot the iconic Kentish Oasts of the Hop Farm Family Park, take the 3rd exit to enter the park.
If traveling via the M25/M26: Exit off the M25 at junction 5 merging on the M26, continue along the M26 for approximately 8 miles. Exiting at junction 2a, take the third exit on to the A20. Continue on the A20 until you come to a roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Seven Mile Lane/B2016. Continue along Seven Mile Lane until you come to another roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A228. Once on the A228, follow the road for 9.4mi. As you approach, you will spot the iconic Kentish Oasts of the Hop Farm Family Park, take the 3rd exit to enter the park.

By train: If you wish to travel by train, the closest station is Paddock Wood. From here the Hop Farm is accessible via a Streamline taxi (see below) or bus. If traveling by bus from the station then you will need to use the bus stop opposite Hop Pocket Lane (5min walk from the station) and catch the number 6, 6a or 207 bus to the Hop Farm. Train tickets can be bought online or by visiting www.southeasternrailway.co.uk for more information.

By bus: If you want to catch the bus from Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Maidstone, the number 6/6H takes you right to Hop Farm and runs every hour (Monday to Saturday only). Check out the Arriva website www.arrivabus.co.uk for times and details.

How long does each escape game last?

The whole experience lasts 90 minutes. We encourage you to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your booking for a short briefing. You will then spend a maximum of 60 minutes in the room. After escaping, if you manage to, we would love to hear about your experience and take your photo.

Where do I go when I arrive at the Hop Farm?

As we operate independently from the Hop Farm you will need to drive through The Hop Farm site to find us. Upon arrival, follow the signs for Car Park C. You will drive up to a barrier located on your right, press TimeQuest on the intercom and one of our team will direct you from there. Once parked look for the TimeQuest entry plaques to guide you up.

Accessibility

Is TimeQuest HQ accessible?

While we have tried to make all of our internal spaces accessible to all styles of players, at the present time we are unable to accommodate individuals with mobility problems. We are located on the second floor of a listed Oast house and are only accessible by two flights of stairs. If you are unsure whether our games can accommodate your requirements then please get in contact and we will do our best to help.

Do you offer carer tickets?

Yes, one free carer/companion ticket can be provided with each paying disabled visitor.

Do you have disabled parking?

Yes, there are currently two disabled parking bays in the shared car park.

A team member is pregnant, can they play?

Ultimately the decision to play is down to the individual. However our games have been designed to be challenging, with limited physical challenges and no jump scare situations. We have also made sure that there is somewhere to sit, so you can rest while still being part of the game. You are also free to leave at any time during the game to use the facilities if necessary.

A team member is claustrophobic, can they play?

Although we have tried to keep our rooms spacious, we are aware that personal experiences vary depending on the degree of claustrophobia. Therefore, to try and make the experience as fun and comfortable as possible teams are free to leave the main door ajar during the games and players can leave the room as needed.

Are assistance dogs allowed at TimeQuest HQ?

Yes, we are very dog friendly at TimeQuest and welcome all assistance dogs.

Board Games

I thought you only did escape games?

Well we did but we also realised that a lot of our customers also shared our love for tabletop games as well. It is for this reason we have expanded our offerings to include a new tabletop game store, a rentable playing space and a growing collection of board games.

Can I only buy board games online?

Nope, you can also browse a large collection of our stock in our reception area. If you are interested in coming in then give us a call and we will be happy to help. We do also offer a local pick up service if you would prefer to browse and order through the website.

Can I get a refund on an item I have purchased?

Should you wish to return or exchange an item you will have 14 days to do so from the order date. To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. To complete a return, we will require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Once a return is agreed you will need to return the item to us (either by post or in person). You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

We do advise using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Once the item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of our decision.

Damaged Items

While we do take care to make sure your products are well packaged, in the unfortunate event your product has been damaged in transit then please contact us with your name, order number and photo of the damaged or defective items(s).

Cancellations

Should you wish to cancel your order a full refund will be offered up until the product has shipped. If you are cancelling a pre-order this is typically around 1 to 2 days before the scheduled release date.

I want to come down and play, can you help me get started?

Absolutely. Not only can we recommend games but we are also able to help you set up a number of games in the library.

I need help choosing a game, can you help?

We will certainly do our best! Several of our team are avid tabletop gamers and will be happy to talk about what sort of game we have available and what could be your next purchase.
